Biig Piig shares the propulsive and paranoid “Switch”

Jess Smyth aka Biig Piig has shared a new track called “Switch”, a song directly related the current state of the world. She says it’s “about the tension, helplessness and pressure that the world is under right now. The beat and lyrics to me represents the fast pace of how the world is falling apart, and the anxious undertone of it all.”

That restlessness is captured in the bustling beat that runs beneath her voice, pushing her thoughts to all sorts of confessional peaks. Biig Piig’s vocal is simple but affecting, as she repeats the damning phrase: “I had a dream / I was learning / then your love took it from me.” In combination it’s a heady mix of feelings and a top class musical rush.
