The remix album can often feel like an afterthought, but Overcoats have deftly avoided that possibility but calling on a truly diverse bunch of collaborators, ranging from Shura, Porches, Caroline Rose, Yumi Zouma to Yoke Lore and more.
Each artists brings their personal flavor to The Fight (Remixed), from Porches’ synthy, vocal-altering punchy climax on “Apathetic Boys”, to Shura’s epic dance treatment of “Ill Be There”, all the way to Caroline Rose’s gentle, gorgeous closing take on “The Fight”.
