Hong Kong based indie pop musician Cehryl shares depths-combing new single and video “angels (emily)”

Hot on the heels of her 2019 debut album, Slow Motion, Hong Kong-based indie pop musician Cehryl isn’t slowing down one bit. Having shared “Superbloom” earlier this year, she’s now linked up with none other than producer Andrew Sarlo, who’s worked with the likes of Bon Iver, Big Thief, and Empress Of. Clearly, bigger things are to come for Cehyrl.

Her latest, “angels (emily)” is sung towards its titular character, with Cehyrl’s layered vocals forming a veritable ocean. Her breathy voice is already, simply put, thick as it is, so the meticulous production and layering here works wonders. By the time delectable strumming enters the picture, the listener is fully entranced.
