Will Oldham (aka Bonnie Prince Billy) (aka Bonnie Billy) has gotten back together with the Marquis de Tren (aka Mick Turner) for the first time since they released the Get On Jolly EP over 13 years ago. Gathering together musicians such as Jim White, Van Campbell, Emmett Kelly, and Angel Olsen, the Marquis and Bonnie Billy set about trying to make songs using the biblical psalms as their inspiration. And we know that Oldham has never shied away from using religious imagery in his work in Palace Music and Bonnie Prince Billy, so this seems a perfect fit. We will see–or hear– for ourselves come April 16th when it drops on Drag City Records. The cover art is above and the tracklist below.
