serpentwithfeet links up with NAO for “Heart Storm”

We’re nearly there. Ever since serpentwithfeet released “Fellowship”, it’s been clear he’s poised for a new, significant chapter in his already impressive career. This Friday will see the release of DEACON, via Secretly Canadian. A brilliant, brief burst, it readily stands alongside the best music in its field from recent years.

For one final, tantalizing taste before its imminent arrival, he’s shared “Heart Storm”, a duet with none other than NAO, saying:

“I love a little magical realism. In this song I’m saying that there is so much love and power every time me and my man unite, even the heavens rejoice. Here, we welcome the storm.”

In a similar vein to “Fellowship” and “Same Size Shoe”, the song revels in the album’s prevailing themes of both romantic and self-love. It’s yet another pure delight.

Listen to “Heart Storm” below, and look out for DEACON this Friday, the 26th.
