Real Lies deliver a glimmering glimpse of their past in “An Oral History Of My First Kiss”, announce new album

Half a decade in the making, electronic duo Real Lies have announced their second album Lad Ash will be released on April 22 through their own UNREAL imprint.

The album is preceded by a new single called “An Oral History of My First Kiss”, a propulsive and glimmering electronic track that delivers exactly what its title suggests. While the production is stylish and futuristic, Real Lies present the perfect foil with a detailed account of the awkwardness of early teenage existence and the over-exciting prospect of getting your first kiss on a village green. Fellow BPM fave Zoee sweeps in to provide a diaphanous vocal, bringing to life that teenage fantasy in a way that transports us back to days of our own teens, dreaming of something even slightly exciting happening. With “An Oral History of My First Kiss”, Real Lies present a time capsule back to a youthful yearning we surely all felt.
