Much like her propulsive productions, Australian producer Samantha Poulter aka Logic1000 doesn’t seem to stop. Having released an EP in January, followed by a couple more standalone singles, she today reveals plans for another five-track release called In The Sweetness of You arriving on November 12 through her own Therapy imprint.
As a taste of what’s to come, she today shared “What You Like”, which features vocals from Malaysian/Irish newcomer yunè pinku. Poulter says: “Asha is such a talented artist with an incredible ear, I’m so proud of this tune and so glad to have worked with her.”
Logic1000’s soft-yet-tactile productions always evoke a rush of feeling, and this time it’s pure desire that comes pumping out of “What You Like”. An irresistible combination of beats, minimal synths and chopped vocals sets the perfect platform for yunè pinku’s approach: “in my mind I need you all the time,” she opens. From there, we’re hypnotised by the fluid interplay between production and vocals, and we follow the two women deep inside “What You Like”, to a private dancefloor where all unspoken impulses can be acted upon.
