Logic1000 unleashes the dancefloor primer “Medium”

Samantha Poulter aka Logic1000 has her new EP called You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go coming out next Friday, January 22, but ahead of that she’s given us another glimpse of what’s in store with “Medium”. Introducing the track, Poulter says:

“I made Medium for those of you who are in the car on the way to the club. It’s a pre party moment. I really feel like this track is reflective of my taste, in its truest sense. I’m all about groove and momentum in music and I feel like Medium has those things. The thing I remember most about making this track was the desire to be moving. It was peak lockdown and all I wanted was to have that feeling like I was going somewhere. I wanted to escape.”

That she has a specific environment and mood in mind when making her productions speaks to the detail that Poulter puts into her work, which make the tracks all the more engrossing and rewarding. “Medium” may not be the arms-akimbo dance party of previous singles like “I Won’t Forget” and “Perfume”, but it has an acid-tech like beat and a magnetic pulse that locks you into a zone and keeps you there. She then graciously tickles the mind by bubbling through some synth melodies of all different tones and textures, preparing you for a dive into the deep end of the dancefloor.

Logic1000’s new EP, You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go, arrives on January 22 via Therapy. You can find her on Bandcamp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
