It’s not a new Radiohead album, but a Jonny Greenwood score is still cool…

Radiohead fans are devoted, enthusiastic and, sometimes, a little bit crazy. But even their fanaticism has it’s limits and didn’t spread to Jonny Greenwood’s There Will Be Blood OST. Chances are it did quite better than the majority of period dramas soundtracks, but probably a select few gave it more than an initial courtesy spin. Still, there will certainly be some interest in Greenwood’s newest score work, even though it is for a foreign drama and likely best suited for quiet background music.

The completists who wish to adore all things Radiohead will be happy to know that the soundtrack to Norwegian Wood is now available in Japan, where the film is due to open. Based on the classic Murakami novel, the film still does not have an American release date, and thus going through Amazon Japan may be your only chance to get a hard copy of this work any time soon.

Those of you wondering if the Radiohead guitarist is Oscar eligible, well, he’s not. The work is based on an previously written piece called “Doghouse.”
