LA artist/producer Eric Dash’s new single “I Must Be Crazy” has all the ingredients that made classics like Prince’s “Purple Rain” so memorable: a beautiful melody that builds to an anthemic chorus, powered by remarkable singing.
Dash is one of those rare artists who’s difficult to compare to others. His voice has the emotional power of John Mayer, but on this song it’s more soaring and tenor than Mayer’s gritty baritone.
Eric will release a new album in December, mixed by Craig Alvin (who did the same for Kacey Musgraves). As a producer, he just landed a well-known client who can’t be revealed just yet.
Dash has already played many of LA’s most revered venues like The Roxy and The Wiltern. The next stop may be the Hollywood Bowl.
