Eric Dash is distinctively bluesy on “Learn From Last Time”

LA artist Eric Dash’s new single “Learn From Last Time” reminds me of those two apostles named James and John (Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer). The twisting melody and heartfelt storyline would have fit right in on Jimi’s Electricladyland album.

Eric “Dash” Friedman is winning acclaim both as an artist and producer. He has supported acts like Train and Nelly – and been profiled in American Songwriter magazine. “Learn From Last Time” is a preview of Dash’s debut album Bystander scheduled to arrive later this year.

Eric says, “I used to write songs without worrying about what others think. However, there was a brief period when that changed, and frankly I was just lost in a pop world, doing unpop things, trying to make it pop. “Learn From Last Time” was one of the songs that brought me back to being me and I will love it forever. It tells a true story and unfortunately, I relived that story recently with someone new. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a loop – and the “Learn From Last Time” loop is a grueling one at that. I have faith that I’ll get out of it soon, but for everyone that’s in it, you’re not alone.”
