Blue Hawaii channel pure euphoria on the tropical dance jam “L.O.V.E.”, announce new EP

Raphaelle “Ra” Standell-Preston and Agor ”DJ Kirby” Cowan aka Blue Hawaii are back with more delectable beats and a new EP called My Bestfriend’s House, which will be out on February 18 through Arbutus.

They’ve shared the first single from it, “L.O.V.E.”, which sees them continue down the floating-on-air dance pop vibe they have been perfecting over their recent releases. An effortlessly infectious track, “L.O.V.E.” fuses four-to-the-floor beats and an insistent bassline with wizzing electronics and a drippingly cool sax part from Adam Kinner. Ra Standell-Preston skips and simpers throughout, putting the pure weightless joy of the music into words that express desire and delight with absolutely no baggage attached. It is the sound of love in the air over a humming house party dancefloor.
