As an Elephant 6 associate and former contributor to The Music Tapes and Circulatory System (though primarily in a production role), Nesey Gallons is no stranger to the eccentric and often fractured pop aesthetic common to the bands who call that collective home. Drawing on the communal psych-pop and 60’s sunshine pop that the E6 Collective have retooled and dramatically expanded upon, Gallons brings his best heart-on-sleeve lo-fi pop attitude to the songs on his latest album, When I Was An Ice Skater, which was recently released on cassette by Already Dead Tapes.
