After an altered historic painting announcing “LP3 COMPLETE,” Vampire Weekend have finally revealed the details to their third album. Modern Vampires of the City will be released May 6th in the UK and on the following day in the U.S. via XL Recordings (that’s the artwork above). Not content with a simple announcement through the usual outlets, the band also took out a classified ad in the New York Times, (in the “Notices & Lost and Found” section, no less) reading, “Modern Vampires of the City, May 7, 2013.” If you caught it, good on you but if not, have look-see at the tracklisting below, along with a bunch of tour dates the band have announced.
