Phoenix are due for some new music. It’s been three years (or, in internet time, an eternity) since the release of their breakout effort Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, so it is to some excitement that the announcement came today that the band has finished making their new album. According to Rolling Stone, the announcement was made by Glassnote labelhead Daniel Glass at a Spotify event in Paris. He also said that the album is expected to see release in April. As of now, we don’t know the exact date or title, but it has been previously reported that the band was experimenting with orchestral parts and live percussion on this album in an effort to get away from drum machines.
