Swedish sister act First Aid Kit have been touring as a support band all year to the likes of close friends Bright Eyes and Lykke Li, but soon they will be going out on their own once more to tour in support of their upcoming album The Lion’s Roar, which comes out in January. In fact, tonight they are playing a headline set of their own at Los Angeles’ Troubadour, but before doing so they stopped by local radio station KCRW to perform a beautiful set.
The performance includes a bunch of old favourites as well as new single “The Lion’s Roar” and its b-side “Marianne’s Son,” but most excitingly for big fans who are eagerly anticipating the new album, they premiered a wonderful new song called “Emmylou.” You can grab the performance of Emmylou below and, if you wish, stream the whole session which includes an interview with Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley.
