The release of Wilco’s eighth studio album The Whole Love is set for September 27th, and up until now the only song we’ve heard from it is the pleasant-if-slightly-predictable “I Might.” Judging from the tease they’ve just posted on YouTube though, this album will feature at least one curveball. The video shows the band in the studio recording a song called “Almost”; you can see Nels Cline absolutely shredding on guitar, some intense drumming from Glenn Kotche, some wicked-sounding synth and Jeff Tweedy just sitting around looking happy.
