It’s official: a release date has been set for Daft Punk’s original Tron Legacy Soundtrack. These things can always change, but as of now, November 23rd is the day. The film is coming out in December and let’s all hope for a tour to promote the album/film.
Pedestrian.TV put it best in saying, “Cue excitement boners made of laser beams.” It’s been over 5 years since the boys released a new album (though Alive 2007 is arguably their best, so we can’t complain too much). If you’re not yet fully excited for the film and its undoubtedly epic soundtrack, watch the trailer below. If you’re still not excited after watching, double check that you have a pulse.
UPDATE: Pitchfork is reporting that the soundtrack’s record label, Disney, is claiming that no release date has been set yet.
