Soho Rezanejad unveils her emotional core with the delicate “Half The Shore”

Soho Rezanejad is capping off a very productive portion of her career with the release of new album Performance and Surrender on December 4. She recently teased us with the short opening track “Performance”, but today gives us a more significant portion of the record with new song “Half The Shore”.

The new track starts off with Rezanejad playing spare guitar into an echoing atmosphere, creating a delicate and precious environment. In this safe space, she soon opens up with her voice, vulnerable and rich, and sings with unguarded emotion: “love without trust is a river without water.” “Half The Shore” starts to build with the addition of more reverb and some twittering birds in the background, enlarging the picture of Rezanejad’s pain and desire through simple augmentation that hits home through the sheer purity of feeling.

Soho Rezanejad’s new album Perform and Surrender comes out on December 4 through Silicone Records. You can find her on Facebook.
