LINNEA enjoys the solitude of a “Lone Star Motel” on her debut single

L.A. artist LINNEA loves all kinds of pop music, ranging from the lonesome, desert-y music of Kacey Musgraves and Chris Isaak to British punk rock greats like The Buzzcocks and X-Ray Spex. She describes her debut single โ€œLone Star Motelโ€ as โ€œdesert sleazeโ€ โ€“ and it feels like a lost weekend in Lubbock, Texas (even though the motel photos were shot in Hollywood).

The singer has been hard at work on her follow-up music with producer Jonny Bell, cutting at his famed Jazzcats studio in Long Beach, California.

LINNEA is a huge fan of the late great fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, and the singerโ€™s fashion flair matches the mood of โ€œLone Star Motelโ€ perfectly. We expect that her second single โ€“ a rock banger โ€“ will feature accompanying art that takes us back to Vivienneโ€™s iconic SEX boutique in mid-70s London.

If Lucinda Williams and The Buzzcocksโ€™ Pete Shelley had a kid, sheโ€™d sound like LINNEA. So crack open a Lone Star beer and share the intimacy of LINNEAโ€™s imaginary Texas motel.
