Genre-blending Thundercat-approved artist jopippins shares video for deep cut “grass is greener”

There’s nowhere for jopippins to go but up. The North Carolina artist is among a proud group of young artists who, even for their already bold generation, display little interest in the confines of genres. For his part, jopippins is equal parts Lil Uzi Vert and Thundercat, the latter of which formally co-signed him following an impromptu cover of “Them Changes”.

Having released the “Director’s Cut” deluxe version of his sophomore LP, Digital Native, jopippins has now shared a video for deep cut “grass is greener”. A wash of colors and positive energy, the video follows our leading man and a Monarch butterfly in nearly equal measure.
