LA artist/actor Ashley Miers is helping raise funds for victims of the city’s devastating wildfires with the release of her heartfelt cover of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ classic “Under The Bridge”.
In the video for the song, Miers walks through Los Angeles neighborhoods just like Anthony Kiedis did in the original video. All proceeds from the song are going to L.A.’s Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE).
“Our house was invaded by smoke from the Eaton fire on the morning of Wednesday, January 8, and we departed the city until the immediate danger abated,” says Miers. “My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially those who did not have the means to evacuate or have a home still standing to return to, and I hope this project can make a meaningful difference in supporting Los Angeles families and wildfire relief efforts overall.”
Miers is prepping an entire album of RHCPs covers entitled Love Letters, which drops in April.
