As part of Gold Robot Records’ ongoing 7″ series titled GOLD (where the label releases a limited pressing on gold vinyl featuring minimalist packaging and a common visual thread), Conveyor have put together a new slab to add to the collection. Their Mammal Food/Pushups 7″ will be released on 10th December this year, and will feature the two titled songs, both of which come from the same session that made up their self-titled debut from last year. “Pushups” is ready for your listening pleasure below, full of a sort of awkwardly inviting dissonance and distortion that soon mines a glorious surf-pop edge through the haze. About minute in, you’re likely to to be hooked as some of the noise fades to the back of the mix and jittery guitar flicks flutter about, all before the fuzz comes back, more glorious than it was when it forced itself into your ears. Listen below, and check out some tour dates from the band after the jump.
