San Francisco garage-pop band The Mantles have never been shy about their influences, nor do they hide behind them. But on their latest single “Hello,” taken from their upcoming record Long Enough To Leave due out June 18th via Slumberland Records, they practically wallow in them–not that that is such a bad thing. When you have a such a command and reverence for artists like The Velvet Underground and The Sonics, it doesn’t take long to understand that The Mantles are simply channeling the spirit of their garage and art-rock predecessors. And doing so in a way that is reverential and pure lo-fi garage rock churn. Check out the latest track “Hello” from The Mantles below.
