Unsurprisingly, the video for Yellow Red Sparks’ “A Play To End All Plays” takes place in a theatre, where an unsuspecting passer-by is drawn to the stage by disturbingly-costumed/judgingly-eyed black bridesmaids/mourners so as to take place before his now future wife. But after he breaks her heart (literally), he must pay the consequences of a laughing crowd, and a hoard of other actors who fit him with a noose. Suitably the dramatics match the ever-building, tense music that climaxes with a wonderful choral section that’ll leave you in a daze. But don’t let it deter you from going to see a play: visit your local theatre! In the meantime, though, watch “A Play To End All Plays,” which comes from their self-titled album released earlier this year.
