Psychic Ill’s brought a special fuzzy psychedelic weirdness to New York since their inception in 2003, but after three albums (including Hazed Dreams) their Sacred Bones debut, they appear to be headed in a bit of a different direction. “Might Take a While” takes an early Lou Reed stomp and pairs it with some strained Jason Pierce-esque vocalizations. With the chorale of boozy backing vocals from Neil Hagerty (of Royal Trux fame), the track takes on a woozy lost in time feel not present on past records by the band. Check the new track out below.
