Quebec band The Luyas have announced the follow up to last year’s Too Beautiful To Work. The new album will be entitled Animator and will be released through Dead Oceans on October 16th.
Despite this being a fairly quick follow up to their last album, it seems we can expect a fair bit of progression in The Luyas’ sound based on what the band is saying about it and judging from the first new single “Fifty Fifty,” which you can stream or download below. The song finds the band hitting a bewitching sort of kraut groove, akin to former tourmates Blonde Redhead. The eventual crescendo brings in violins and hints at bigger things for The Luyas on Animator.
