I don’t know about you, but Hot Chip’s video for their 2010 hit “I Feel Better” is probably my favourite of theirs, due to how it delivers in being equally hilarious and perplexing. And I put my fondness of it down the the video’s director, British comedian Peter Serafinowicz, who is taking another go in the director’s chair for the band’s song “Night & Day,” from their forthcoming album In Our Heads.
The video follows suit from Serafinowicz’s previous outing, in being plain old strange; full of funky monks, supermodel Lara Stone and comedian Reggie Watts flying sleek spaceships, a seemingly irrelevant ghost, and plenty of choreography, there’s a feast for you eyes, which may well be explained best by YouTube commenter “toypadlock”: “I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON BUT I LIKE IT.” According to the director, “Many animals were harmed during the making of this video. Regrettably, none of them made the final edit.” Go figure. Watch it below:
