Usually, ATP chooses legendary bands or cult celebrities to curate their festivals. You know, like Portishead or Animal Collective or Belle & Sebastian. This December, ATP has lined up three of the industries most respected, yet not the most popular, bands to help host Nightmare Before Christmas: Battles, Caribou, and Les Savy Fav.
The event will be held December 9-11 at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead, UK, with the breakdown being Les Savy Fav day on the 9th, Battles day on the 10th and Caribou day on the 11th. If you think about it, this could create an awesome split of rock, progressive, and electronic days. In total the line-up will feature 45 live acts playing across the weekend on three indoor stages with a final festival capacity of around 5500 people.
Tickets go on sale Thursday here for the price of £170.00pp for room only and £180.00pp for self catering (I don’t know what this means or if the price is reasonable…). And, don’t forget the Jeff Mangum-curated ATP and Jeff Mangum-infused ATP also happening this year. Is ATP California ever happening again? Please?
