Eric Dash is distinctively bluesy on “Learn From Last Time”

LA artist Eric Dashโ€™s new single โ€œLearn From Last Timeโ€ reminds me of those two apostles named James and John (Jimi Hendrix and John Mayer). The twisting melody and heartfelt storyline would have fit right in on Jimiโ€™s Electricladyland album.

Eric โ€œDashโ€ Friedman is winning acclaim both as an artist and producer. He has supported acts like Train and Nelly โ€“ and been profiled in American Songwriter magazine. โ€œLearn From Last Timeโ€ is a preview of Dashโ€™s debut album Bystander scheduled to arrive later this year.

Eric says, โ€œI used to write songs without worrying about what others think. However, there was a brief period when that changed, and frankly I was just lost in a pop world, doing unpop things, trying to make it pop. โ€œLearn From Last Timeโ€ was one of the songs that brought me back to being me and I will love it forever. It tells a true story and unfortunately, I relived that story recently with someone new. Sometimes I feel like Iโ€™m living in a loop โ€“ and the โ€œLearn From Last Timeโ€ loop is a grueling one at that. I have faith that Iโ€™ll get out of it soon, but for everyone thatโ€™s in it, youโ€™re not alone.โ€
