Two years ago, HEALTH released their first remix album, HEALTH//DISCO, which showcased remixed versions of songs from their self-titled debut. Critically, the remix album made quite a bit of noise in the music community, as it was hailed for bringing forth more fully-realized (and infinitely more danceable) versions of the original songs.
The band’s trying it again and releasing DISCO2, which will feature remixes from last year’s well-received album, GET COLOR. The album’s remixers include Javelin, Crystal Castles (again, having already remixed a track on HEALTH//DISCO), Gold Panda, Salem, and more. Expect the remix LP to drop on June 22 in North America (via Lovepump United) and July 6 in Europe/U.K. (via City Slang). It will also feature a new non-remixed track from HEALTH entitled “USA Boys.”
