Ahead of the release of their new album I Don’t Live Here Anymore this Friday, The War On Drugs have followed up the singles “Living Proof” and “I Don’t Live Here Anymore” with “Change”.
Said to be the keystone to the album as a whole, “Change” finds Adam Granduciel mulling over the central themes of personal upheaval and evolution – as well as getting older and seeing a change in the world around. He turns these inner turmoils into metaphorical words about driving through rain storms to reach the light and love at the end of the tunnel – all supported by the coasting, elemental groove of his bandmates.
