Yves Tumor returns with the curdling post-punk “God Is A Circle”

Yves Tumor has returned with “God Is A Circle”, their first new music since last year’s The Asymptotical World EP.

The new track continues in the lineage of that EP, eschewing the glam sounds of 2020’s Heaven To A Tortured Mind in favour of more streamlined, darker-hued post-punk created with producer Noah Goldstein (Frank Ocean, Arcade Fire), and mixed by Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails). It makes the perfect vessel for Tumor’s roving thoughts, where they grasp for identity and purpose amidst a world that’s slipping away. The struggle is emphasised by warped backing vocals from Ecco2K (Drain Gang/Year0001) and Thoom.
