Wiz Khalifa’s new album completed, release date & title revealed

Among the few MC’s of the new generation that have generally been embraced by lovers of hip hop, Wiz Khalifa has been getting some serious attention lately, thanks to his single “Black & Yellow”. “Everything that we drop after ‘Black & Yellow’ is going to do as well or better. Black & Yellow’ was just supposed to be a set-up record. We haven’t even gotten into the good stuff,” Wiz told Billboard.

Now, taking to his Ustream account, he’s announced the title and release date of his new album: the aptly named Rolling Papers will drop March 29th, barring any typical industry delays (or Wiz misspeaking, clearly having reached the stupor point of an AM blaze session in the stream). Guests are said to include Curren$y, Rick Ross, Too Short, and – of course – Snoop Dogg, with production from the likes of Stargate, Pharrell, and Jim Jonsin. The rapper says the title extends beyond his apparent liking of the leafy green: “it’s deeper than that too… it’s not just about the weed thing. It’s bigger than that. My career really took off when I started smoking papers.”
