Watch: Kirin J Callinan – “Victoria M.”

Embracism

On his debut album, Embracism, Australian artist Kirin J Callinan does a lot of soul-baring: it’s in the raw passionate vocals; the rugged, mechanic music; and even on the tearing-his-own-face-off album cover. On his new video for the album track “Victoria M.,” however, he’s contrastingly putting a lot into his appearance. In the self-directed video, Callinan collects together shots of him in various costumes, like characters from some TV soap from decades ago, all held together it the main character of Callinan playing what looks like an aerobic instructor trying to entertain a small crowd with a keyboard. Watch the video below, and check out Embracism which is out now via Terrible Records in partnership with XL Recordings.
