The Gorillaz advent calendar has been a fun way for the Damon Albarn vehicle to give back to the vocal and passionate fans that have helped them become one of the largest touring acts in the world. Every day, a new present arrives, like Kanye West but on a different time-frame. Well this morning, anyone who opens the little door will treated to something cooler than a candy bar.
Gorillaz and Snoop Dogg are offering a music video for their album opener “Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach,” showing Snoop to be a gracious sport in his collaborations, per usual. Albarn has his work cut out for him to keep the intensity up after this surprising present. There are still 18 more doors to open, could one of them be the new iPad album that Albarn mentioned could be out by the end of the year?
