Love hurts — or it can; it probably will. Toria Wooff is pragmatic about the impending ache that often accompanies those moments of infatuation and affection. Her latest single, “That’s What Falling In Love Will Do”, finds her accepting the consequences of giving her heart into the care of another person. Acoustic guitar and pedal steel roam and trace the geography of love’s expansive landscapes. Why do we go back when we know how it all might end? I’d like to think that hope plays a big part here, and I think Wooff shares that perspective. No matter how bad it gets we cling to the hope that someone will make us feel complete, and who knows, maybe that person is sitting across from you right now.
“We all continue to strive to fall in love even though everyone complains about it constantly and we know it’s not always easy,” says Wolff. “It’s what we live for and I hope people find the song reassuring.“
