Tinashe announces new album

Tinashe has truly been making the most of going independent. While her time with RCA certainly wasn’t entirely ill spent – 2014’s Aquarius and 2016’s Nightride were quintessential Tinashe experiences – the label would ultimately push her in directions that displayed just how little they understood her as an artist in a chase for sales with 2018’s Joyride.

Not long after, she was a free agent, and many wondered where she might go next. The answer was a huge, defiant one: 2019’s Songs for You was her best album to date, absolutely brimming with talent and endlessly catchy, deeply emotive songs.

Now, that ride is set to continue. Following recent single, “Bouncin”, the video for which has already amassed well over a million views (you can check it out below), she’s revealed her eagerly anticipated fifth album: 333. Again set to release on her own Tinashe Music, the LP is due August 6th.

As of now, not overly much is known of the project, but you can check out its third-eye sporting cover art above. Stay tuned to Beats Per Minute as more information becomes available.

In a grimly amusing anecdote shared while chatting with fans on Twitter, Tinashe also revealed she’d been replaced by Jack Harlow for single, “Already Best Friends”, with none other than Chris Brown. Because, you know, people continue to work with that man.
