Though I was at The Dodos show last night in Costa Mesa, Ca to do a review and take photos, it turns out a news story is needed as well. The band’s setup was remarkably spare looking, with no Vibraphone and indeed, they played the entire set as the original duo of Meric Long and Logan Kroeber.
Their PR replied to our inquiry, and have stated that The Dodos are indeed returning to being a two-piece, with no specifics on the departure of Keaton Snyder, the band’s third member for nearly two years.
Also of note: the band revealed that the recording of their forth LP has been completed, with release expected in the early part of the year. And Meric Long is playing electric guitar now. He literally bought the guitar last week. How did it sound? I’ll save that for the review…
