Earlier today, The Fader posted a remix for the ever-cryptic iamamiwhoami. The writer, Julianne Escobedo Shepherd, claims to have received a wordless email late last night, containing naught but a Soundcloud link. The remix, brought to us by an equally mysterious art collective called Blacksmoke, features the same unintelligible vocals from the song/video “U-1.” Further into the mix, it starts borrowing vocal clips from the sequel, the aptly titled “U-2.” Appropriately enough, the creator of the Soundcloud consolidated the two and just labeled the song as “U.” The remix seems to have been created with darkwave European nightclubs in mind.
