Spill Gold announce new album Zaza, share the mesmeric title track

Cavernous, seductive kraut rock and fluid, psychedelic pop – that’s been Spill Gold‘s forte since Nina de Jong (drums/percussion/vocals) and Rosa Ronsdorf (synths/vocals) started the project. The band’s new single “Zaza” – also the title track of Spill Gold’s upcoming second LP – more than delivers on those fronts. The duo calls it “an ode to cockroaches, Clarice Lispector, tiny creatures, and to be honest.. to put it simple: an invitation for you and me to meet on the dancefloor.”

Zaza arrives next month – more specifically, on May 17 via Teenage Menopause Records. The band states the record is “a result of a need for hope that longs for an anti-anthropocentric and non-patriarchal world. The duo’s compositions navigate through cyclical patterns, echoing snakes biting their own take, volcano’s starting to erupt, witches’ fingers that crumble towers and birds of steel and feather. They invite you into a world where the concept of ‘the first’ or ‘the best’ fades away and ask you to join them on their musical journey with no clear beginning or end. “
