Dutch-Surinamese artist/producer Pink Oculus – real name Esperanza Denswil – previously released the impressive double-single “Water”/”Away”. The next reveal for her upcoming debut album Before Wisdom is a sleek, IDM-infused R&B track, “Kung F.U”, accompanied by another striking cgi visualizer.
Denswil brings to light what inspired her when she produced the track: “While making ‘KUNG F.U.’ I had a lot of traumatic memories that just kept haunting me. Only by consciously putting my focus on the present could I move myself to really push forward with the track. This inspired me to make it a love song: not one about a person in particular, but more about being aware in the here and now.”
