Panda Bear Moves Back to America to Work with Animal Collective

We don’t make it a habit to read the Wall Street Journal. But the classy rag posted 2011 plans from the mouths of a number of interesting, creative types. Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, is of high interest here. The beloved Animal Collective contributor says he is moving from Lisbon to Baltimore to work with the rest of AnCo, to “make something (they’re) excited about.”

Lennox also gives a status update on Tomboy, stating that it “is really, really close to a final mix; I spent the last three years or so on it. It’s taken me forever. I feel like I did the tour for it already: Animal Collective and myself are in the habit of touring the stuff live before its release.”

Lennox and his family will be living with his mom for the next few months, which makes me feel better about my life. But that is neither here nor there.

Animal Collective are a virtual lock to play Coachella this year, so with this info, we can probably expect some new tunes in the desert. Check out the whole blurb here.
