Watch Sigur Rós play three new songs in concert

Sigur Ros

Since the departure of multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson, Sigur Rós have hinted at a subtle shift in their sound for their rumored new material.  And as has already been pointed out by sites like Pitchfork and Consequence of Sound, it appears that the band has indeed offered up some new songs on their recent tour.  The new songs, which are reportedly called “Kveikur”, “Yfirborð”, and “Hrafntinna,” have already been uploaded onto Youtube.  Watch the videos below for a glimpse into the band’s new direction. (*hint* It still sounds like Sigur Rós, though definitely with a darker, rockier bent.)

The band has also announced that they will have an entirely new stage setup, including lights and decorations, for their upcoming world tour. Check out their run of dates below the videos.

“Kveikur”
