Danish star MØ has announced her long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Forever Neverland: it’s called Motordrome and will arrive on January 28 through RCA. She has also shared two new tracks called “Goosebumps” and “Brad Pitt”, saying:
“Both songs are, in each their way, about remembering who you are. Remember that you can shine? Remember there’s a chance of breaking out of the prison that is your mind? To actively move your body out of the loop and into the world.”
“Goosebumps” is an atmospheric piano ballad, where MØ’s powerful voice gets to show both its strength and vulnerability as she swims through memories of youthful love. She then brings it beautifully into the current as she admits “You give me goosebumps / I still get it when I think of you.”
“Brad Pitt” is also another exploration of love’s trials and tribulations. Again, MØ is being swept off her feet, but this one is very much blood-pumping present. A pulsating electro track, MØ expresses her devotion in no uncertain terms – “I’m your Juliet / you’re my Brad Pitt”. She doesn’t mind if it doesn’t last, right now she’s all-in – and this devotion gets blown up into a cinematic story with the surrounding synths and guitars.
