Madilyn Bailey trades in emotive pop glory with “Tattoos & Therapy”

Madilyn Bailey has been on the rise in the world of pop for a moment now. Dealing in refreshingly blunt lyrics and barn burning hooks, she may bring to mind Charli XCX, and is certain to find footing in your playlists once you give her a go.

Beginning her career as a social media sensation, with a particularly strong following on YouTube, Bailey has made leaps and bounds to assert her place in music. Her latest, “Tattoos & Therapy” provides more evidence that she belongs towards the forefront of raw, endlessly catchy pop.

Speaking on the song, she shares, “There are a lot of unhealthy vices in the world. Coupled with how overwhelming and confusing navigating life can be, it’s almost too easy to turn to self-destructive behaviors like texting an ex late at night or drinking too much and then buying dumb shit off the internet. I’ve found it helpful when self-destructive tendencies kick in to have a healthy alternative for all that angst, enter ‘Tattoos and Therapy’.  Wanna text an ex? I’ll call my therapist instead. Want to go out? Go get a tattoo instead.
