Lyves is the musical persona of Francesca Bergami, a British-born Italian-Australian artist raised across Portugal, Italy, Australia and the UK. It’s been eight years since Lyves released her breakout EP Like Water, followed by a tour with Coldplay. That release featured “Darkest Hour” – a vocal tour-de-force that towers with the best work of Lorde and Caroline Polachek.
Now the London-based artist is back with a stellar EP entitled Out Of The Blue. The collection features “For Eden”, a powerful meditation on mental health. The song’s delicate vocal has an underlying strength and resilience shaped by Lyves’ many years of mental health advocacy work.
“Though the messages throughout this EP are profound, many of the songs feel like gentle whispers or lullabies,” says Lyves. “They speak to self-worth, the magic of emotional awakening, and the journey back to oneself. At its heart, ‘Out of the Blue’ is about rediscovering who you are and coming home to that truth. Though delicate in production, the songs carry a quiet fierceness—soft in sound but bold in spirit.”
