You know, I’m not usually one to ponder about the existence of Thom Yorke, but there are rumors circling that SiSi BakBak is indeed the famed Radiohead frontman. The connections are loose at best, as the radio DJ who premiered the track stated the artist who remixed “Hold On” was scheduled to play Key Arena soon. Which Radiohead are. So there’s that. Also on TKOL RMX 1234567, SBTRKT remixed Radiohead, so there’s that as well. And finally, BBC DJ Rob Da Bank has tweeted about listening to a Thom Yorke remix of SBTRKT, so if this isn’t it then there will be one soon.
The press release for the single does little to clarify either way, so for now just go ahead and enjoy the tune. The “Hold On” 12″ is out May 7th (pre-order), with the digital version dropping this coming Monday.
