A few weeks ago the label Nature Sounds sent out a mysterious DOOM-related cassette (most things DOOM-related are mysterious though, to be honest) to people who bought the DOOMxAkomplice box from their store. It turned out to have the first song we’d heard from DOOMSTARKS – the long awaited collaboration between MF DOOM and Ghostface Killah – “Victory Laps,” but in a Madvillainz remix form. The song was great, but we couldn’t wait for the original, which we were promised to hear on the 26th of July.
The good news is that we get to hear it a day early. The website XXL Mag has the premiere of the original version of the track, and you can check it out below. Pre-orders of the picture disc, coming out August 30th, are here.
