Slumberland Records’ newest signing is the Irish trio Girls Names, and the group has a debut full-length titled Dead To Me due on April 26th. So why do you care? Well, judging by this single from the album, titled “Seance On A Wet Afternoon,” they may be one of the more exciting emerging bands of the year.
Dark in tone but not without its pop appeal, the track begins with stray noise and the sounds of gearing-up. But once the drums kick in, the song becomes a racing soundtrack to accompany your next road trip or murder spree, all brought together with overwhelming vocals that are impossible to ignore.
